THE EXPERIENCE - FINDING YOUR DREAM WEDDING DRESS
I am a very easy going person, so naturally wedding dress shopping never worried me. People would always tell the cliche line "you'll know when you've found the right one". I am anything but cliche, so I disregarded this advice and just went with the flow. Maddy, the sales assistant in the Moonee Ponds store, was so helpful and easy going, and chose a few dresses for me to try on. To my surprise, as soon as the zipper went up on the first dress I tried on, I knew it was "the one".
THE WEDDING DAY
I'm not your usual bride, so understandably my wedding day was unique. I woke my bridesmaids up with the sound of Tupac blaring through the speakers in our Crown Towers suite. After the ceremony, myself and our bridal party drove to our photo locations in a luxurious Rolls Royce stretch limousine. The people on the street were awestruck when I hung out the window, screaming out to let them know it was my wedding day. Luckily for me, my hair stylist/close friend was able to fix my hair at the reception.
WHAT WAS THE BEST MOMENT OF THE DAY?
The best moment of my big day was when my husband and I entered our reception with a traditional shisha (hookah pipe), belly dancers and drummers. The atmosphere was so incredible. All of our family and friends were so excited about our traditional Egyptian entrance and joined in with all the dancers.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE NEWLYWEDS?
My husband and I have entered married life with a bang, having travelled around Europe and parts of the Middle East for our honeymoon. The next step for us will be to go on another big holiday or to have babies, whichever comes first.
